The economic hardship as a result of Covid-19 Pandemic had global impact in the world especially the developing countries where there is no welfare or furlough system in place. As a result of this the hardship affected very poor people adversely. Most of the family bread winners were unable to provide even one square meal for their families. The sufferings of the rural community was so severe that many Nigerians who live abroad were donating money through the church and community leaders to buy basic food items for the very poor who cannot afford food. It was the story of this severe hardship and suffering of the rural villagers during Covid-19 Pandemic that led us to provide food support to the rural community.
